I don't know how the generated Frostbite stuff is going to interact with
the new "portal_resources" (is that the tool)? which synthesizes CSS and/or
Javascript in a cache-friendly way.

I think I would have to tackle this via binary search, i.e. by using Frostbite
to render varying subsets of the available skins, until I had isolated the
ones which were problematic.

I've been tinkering lately with Frostbite 0.4 and Plone 2.1.2 and have yet to get it to work. On trying two different sites (neither exactly vanilla, I'm afraid) I've gotten the situation where although the eight steps outlined in your "Using Frostbite" segment in the Frostbite docs seem to go okay, there seem to be problems afterwards with CSS files not being handled properly and the sites displaying without all their styles.

I've gone through all the mentions in the various mailing lists and am not using SpeedPack or anything like that.

I'm wondering if there are any known problems with Frostbite and Plone... does the new CSS Registry conflict with Frostbite? Are there any files in particular to avoid putting into Frostbite? Are there any disadvantages to just including all files that it picks as candidates?

Thanks for any insight you can provide; I don't want to go into a couple days of debugging if I'm missing something *really* simple on the surface and am just misusing and/or abusing Frostbite...
